Folks are waiting for the release of Android 2.3 to get their hands on the new shiny keyboard but those who have rooted device (having Android 2.2 Foryo) can enjoy this wonderful keyboard today!
Droid-Life has published the required files needed for installation and easy to follow step by step procedure to do so. But keeping in mind that this app might not work on all android based devices, and secondly the auto-correct feature of the keyboard is not working properly at the moment. Before installing you will have to make sure that your device is running the latest version of “Google’s Voice Search App”.
Another thing to remember is that if you install this keyboard then it will overwrite on the original keyboard so it will be better backing up file name “LatinIME.apk” before installing as it will help you restoring the old keyboard.
Backing up the file is necessary because instead of giving you option to switch between older and new keyboard; this hack completely replaces the older keyboard.
