Playing around with old things is always a great fun, provided the fact that there should be some valid output. Coming back to the point, I just got a good news for those who are keen to get into the smartphones (I mean hack them).
And the news is that the guys at xda-developers have managed to get into Android 2.1 on 4 old Windows Mobile phones. Four of them are HTC Kaiser (aka AT&T Tilt), Vogue, Niki, and Polaris respectively. These guys have hacked all of these phones to the elusive Android 2.1.
Wow! This is quite amazing, because of the face that many Android powered phones haven’t really updated to the latest Android 2.1. If a Windows Mobile HTC Kaiser can do it, can’t Motorola get the Droid on 2.1.
But there are some glitches in these hacks, that the camera doesn’t work, Bluetooth is working on and off, expect that everything else is just awesome! These guys have done a tremendous job, hats off to them!
