This was warned by a security expert Phil Kernick. He works for a South Australian firm CQR Consulting. He requested Facebook users not to fall for this fake profile scam. Most of the people will fall for this scam because they are used to accept friend requests from unknown users or from who those who are not their friends.
If you accept any friend request from the scammers they can get access to your profile, they can use your pictures for some illegal purposes. Scammers can even put your photos on the pornographic website they can blackmail you. What scammers do is when they send you a fake profile’s friend request they put a sexy picture of a hot girl or they set a decent looking man just to trap you. After getting access to your profile scammers can get your name, date of birth, address and photos.
It is highly recommended that before accepting any friend request first have a close look at the profile, you will easily identify that the profile is fake or not. Enable privacy on your profile and set you profile page to “friends only”. This will definitely help you to protect you from scammers.
