You guys might have heard about the clones of the websites. Recently many malwares were discovered, and most of them were based on the online attacks or threats you can say. This time there is another online attack on the move. There is a threat Prevention Team well known as eSoft, guys there have recently unveiled that there are round about thousands of web servers that hosts the fake YouTube pages.
Once user is on that fake page he is more prone to attack, now in this particular case when user tries to play the video on the fake page, he is asked to download a media codec, as a result his/her machine is infected with malware.
The fake YouTube pages are made to trick the users, these pages gives YouTube like look, so users thinks that it is the real YouTube page. The only reason behind these fake pages is just to infect as many machines as possible. This time the hackers are considering latest hot videos on YouTube to omit all the doubts from user’s mind.
When user clicks to play the video, he is prompted to download a video codes which actually is a Trojan. Now what you have to do is, before playing an video carefully watch the address of the site in the address bar, so that you guys keep yourself safe.
