After covering so many Trojans, Malware and Virus this post is about another Trojan attack which is ready to steal your credentials. I am just wondering why these hackers and spammers are always trying to disturb internet community? The only answer is money! Hackers create all these Trojans and Malware for internet users just to get money, as much as they can.

Coming back to the point! There are some security good security firm always warning us against the new Trojans just to keep ourselves safe. Symantec is one of those security firms dedicated to inform us about the new and emerging threats for our machines. Recently Symantec warned us about the Trojan named as Infostealer.Nimkey, as the name suggests this Trojan is designed to steal your credentials.
Symantec said that this Trojan Infostealer.Nimkey is able to get hold of all the certificates for private keys, keystrokes and clipboard data. After the collection of certificates is complete, this Trojan send all of them to a website, where your information can be used for any purpose.
Infostealer.Nimkey Targets the PKCS#12 public key certificates. There public key files have all the information of private keys. Attackers use those files to take control of your credentials.
It gets into your machine via spam email having rouge web-links, those links can redirect you to any malware website. Sometimes, when you click these links, an installation of fake or rouge antivirus or software starts. Most of the spam email are given decent titles to trick you.
You are advised to stay away from these links, don’t even look at the junk or unknown emails, turn on your spam filter and finally install a good antivirus software.
