Online hacker attacks are raising day by day, today I came across another hacker attack, this time it is targeting the Facebook users. In recent past Facebook has been the target of the hackers, just because of the popularity of this social network.

Name of the worm is “LOL is this you?”, about two months ago this worm targeted Twitter users. Now this message is spreading on Facebook via Facebook chat. This message appears when you are chatting with your friends on Facebook.
This online attack starts on Friday, which is an ideal day for hackers to get user’s credentials, cyber criminals start this attack on Friday just because there is a weekend and most of the people are on social networks chatting, sharing and updating things. This is the only reason to initiate this attack on weekends, so that maximum number of people could fall for this attack.
When you are chatting on Facebook, you suddenly get a message “LOL is this you?”, followed by a video link on Facebook. Whenever a user clicks the link he is redirected to a webpage leading to “404-Page Not Found.” error. As the user get this “404-Page Not Found” error, the message “LOL is this you?” spreads to his friends.
The link doesn’t seems to be working, but at back-end it performs its worst working and steal user’s credentials.
There is no official word from Facebook, while it is not clear why hackers initiate this attack on Friday. Be safe guys!
