Warning! There is an online malware roaming around! How? Let’s see.. Red Dead Redemption is a new Wild game released by RockStar Games is delivering your credentials to the cybercriminals. This malware starts it activity when the players of the game go online to find the hints of finding treasure in the game.
Security researchers have warned that when you are playing the discussed game and you are looking for the gold bars, as soon as you try to find the hints online and a rogue antivirus program comes into play and ruin your game!
For example, for finding the hints online, if you use the search terms like ‘Red Dead Treasure Map’ it can direct you to a scareware, more known known as FakeAV. What cybercriminals do is they basically redirects these kind of search terms to some fake web pages, and easily trick the users.
As soon as you clicked the infected link you are redirected to a fake web page, asking them to download an antivirus as their PC is infected with viruses. As you download the fake antivirus it infects you machine at maximum!
