Military-Scam

This scam can gain access to user’s personal data. By looking at this scam it seems that cybercriminals can target anyone if they can target military men. Main target of this scam campaign is the financial services firm USAA. USAA is a financial institute which is very much known to the members of the US military men.

Lets see how this scam spreads. Well there is an email with the subject:

USAA Notification, Security Alert, Urgent Message for USAA Customer, etc.

In the email there is a link which takes you to some rouge and fake login page asking you to enter you USAA credentials. As soon as your information is submitted this fake page redirects you to a fake USAA website. Sometimes you would be redirected to original USAA website just to prove that this is not a phishing attack.
