Facebook is the leading social network among all. There are more than 400 million daily active users using Facebook. Recently we heard that Koobface strikes Facebook, which was indeed a Facebook virus. Now what? Yes guys sources reported that there is a virus in popular Facebook’s game known as Farm Town. Experts has advised 9.6 million Facebook players to perform a virus scan on their PCs, it was discovered that the site has been infected with malware, as it is serving malicious ads.

SlashKey are the makers of Farm Town, guys at SlashKey has warned that there are some adverts appearing around the game with fake antivirus links, these adverts are designed to trick the players to believe that their PC is infected with a serious kind of virus. A computer security company named as Sophos, said that there are almost thousands of players reporting this problem, but far more players could be affected by this scam.
SlashKey should disable the Farm Town game until and unless the problem gets fixed, rather to simply ask the players to report bogus adverts when they appear. Until the makers of Farm Town resolve this issue of malicious adverts, users should stop playing this game in order to be at safe side.
“scareware” attacks are increasing. So, we should not let hackers or fraudsters or scammers to get in our machines, or access our private information.
