Yahoo Hacked in China

by Aisha Mazhar on April 1, 2010

Just like Chinese hackers hacked Google, now it has been reportedly said that Yahoo accounts have been hacked by Chinese hackers. If you guys missed out that news what Google responded to Chinese hackers, then make it clear that Google has pulled out their search engine from China, is it the turn for Yahoo to do the same now?

Yes folks it is so true that many of the Yahoo email accounts of right activists, academics and journalists who cover China have been hacked by unknown intruders” one of the victim who is a journalist by profession said that the hackers altered email his settings.

There is no official statement from Yahoo. Yahoo only stated that that we condemn all cyber-attacks regardless of their origin and purpose. Yahoo is committed to protect user security and privacy and Yahoo can take action any strict action against any kind of hacker attacks.

It is not yet clear that these are same Google hackers or not, but it has been reported that the targets are of similar nature. Victims includes a law professor in the United States, an analyst who writes about China’s security and journalists in Beijing and Taipei.

I think Yahoo should ban their email and search service in China as Google did.
