iPhone with a Flash Light

iPhone has a great camera, but it does not come with flash, as a result of which few customers were a little unhappy as they would have loved the camera with flash. There is a way through which you can get flash in your very own iPhone camera.

For this you need to do some dissection of the phone, but need to be very careful about it. Firstly you need to break apart the body just a little from the top inside so you can later slide any thin plastic card such as credit card into it. After breaking apart the glued body, use the credit card and slowly move your way down towards the bottom of the cradle. Be careful so that you don’t damage the body.

Now you will be able to separate the front part from the back. Pull the cradle plugs out from circuit board at 90 degrees angle. You will see the main circuit board when you peel off the reflective tape on it. Remove the two long skinny boards that run alongside the battery with a small screw driver, you need to be extra careful with it.

Once the circuit boards are extricated it will be pretty easy to take out the main circuit board out, the battery wires will only keep it connected though. The battery charge indicator’s LEDs will be glowing if all has been going perfectly so far. You will now have to remove the battery off from the back; piece of flat plastic will do the job perfectly. For the flashlight you need is a switch, a switch cap and of course a LED.

Now drill hole for the light near the battery compartment. There is only little gap between the positive and negative battery terminal to support the LED. Mount the switch above the negative terminal as it is much smaller. Use a small drill and be careful that you don’t break the plastic by drilling it too hard. After the drilling, find out the two cathodes and anodes. Now place the battery and the circuit board back in place and position the LED with the anodes on left and cathodes on the right. You will require some adhesive like gorilla glue to fix the LED and the switch cap. Use phone wire for soldering. The glue on the battery will be more than enough to keep it intact. Put the cradles back together using adhesive and Voila! You are done. Now you will find your pictures brighter and better.
