Before reading the how to guide note 1 thing that Greenpois0n for Mac only works on firmware 4.1. Now follow this guide to jailbreak iOS 4.1 using Greenpois0n for Mac.
Step 1: First of all Download Greenpois0n.
Step 2: After downloading, save your .zip file on desktop (name of the .zip file is gp_mac_rc3.zip) then unzip it.
Step 3: Now double click on Greepois0n icon and run it.
Step 4: Now connect your iDevice to your machine. Turn off your iDevice, now click the Jailbreak button, as shown in in snapshot below.
Step 5: Put your iPhone 4/3GS in DFU Mode.
Read the the following three steps closely. Now press and hold the sleep button for 3 seconds. While holding the sleep button, press and hold home for 10 seconds. Now carefully release the sleep button and hold the home key for 15 seconds. I hope you have done it carefully. I have shown these steps in the screenshots below!
Step 6: Now your iDevice is in DFU mode. At this time jailbreak will begin its working.
Step 7: Now click the complete button.
