According to Wikipedia, Jailbreak is a process that allows the iPhone owners to run any application (from app store) on their device. Once the owner is able to jailbreak the iPhone. A jailbreak iPhone is able to use and update apps downloaded and purchased from Apple’s official App Store.
If you want to jailbreak your iPhone, follow this post. I am going to list down the process, this only works for Windows using devices and requires the following of the seven simple steps to jailbreak iPhone 3.1.2:
1. Install pwnage tool 3.1.4 on your iPhone.
2. Run Cydia application, and install Ultrasnow. Select “Manage” tab on the bottom, then click the “Sources”.
3. Now click the edit button and add the following URL: “http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com/” and click on “Add Source”.
4. Cydia will update your iPhone Sources.
5. Search for Ultrasn0w in Cydia to install it. This will automatically unlock your iPhone.
6. Reboot your iPhone.
7. Congrats! You have successfully jailbreakon your iPhone.
