I hope (in fact I am sure) that you guys must have jailbroken your iPhone 4 with JailbreakMe. If this is the case then there is an app developed by PlanetBeing named as Signal, this app is a Cydia Store app which is purely developed for jailbroken iPhone 4, 3G, and 3GS.
What this app does is, it shows you the true signal strength of your iPhone. This is quite interesting because recently we saw signal strength issue with iPhone 4. More good thing about this app is it also indicates nearest cell towers in your territory.
While using this app you can compare the coverage between different carriers, you can also test antenna vulnerabilities on your iPhone. This app is available, I will surely give it a try, this app is a great plus for the iPhone users out there, Signal app will also help radio engineers to see the downlink and uplink frequencies on adjacent cells. Approach used in this app is also beneficial for field testing.
Hats off to PlanetBeing, I am so happy that he has developed this app for all of us, and it looks that if he is understanding the normal user requirements.
