While browsing the technology news, I just came across a very weird article or post you can say which says that Yahoo! is predicting problems for the search giant Google. CEO of Yahoo! Carol Bartz said that Google needs to beyond the search, she further suggested that Google would have to grow as a company just what Yahoo! did. I would like to agree with Mrs. Bartz because we all know that Yahoo is one of the largest sites with more than 200m of audience.
But yes, when it comes to search we see that Yahoo! is lagging behind, with only 17% of the market share, whereas Google has 65%.
Now coming back to the point, Mrs Bartz further elaborated that Google can have problems because Google is only known for its search and nothing else. Yes, again I would agree to
Mrs. Bartz because we see the search is Yahoo’s half of the business and Google rely 99% of its search. You might be shocked to know that Yahoo has more than 70 websites available in 20 different languages around the globe. Ms Bartz said that Yahoo can hold its own social network against Facebook.
She described the site, which has more than 400 million users and has stated that its ambition is to be at the heart of the “social web”.
