In the past, an application was created by an Android developer that can be used to forward text messages from one cellphone to another secretly! Thus can be used for surveillance what someone is really up-to and whom he/she contact via SMS.

According to the CEO (Zak Tanjeloff), DLP Mobile; There is no doubt that this SMS spying application is
controversial, but the app might be helpful for those people who are in relationship and think that this type of spying is useful.
This SMS Spy App for Android is unique in a way that once installed; there is no shortcut or visible icon to access it and the App will automatically work without revealing itself and keep monitoring and forwarding SMS messages in secretive manner.
When the CEO, Tanjeloff was asked by the New York Times regarding the iPhone version of this SMS Spying application then he denied by saying that due to the strict approval process of Apple’s App Store their application wouldn’t be able to pass it and because of this they can’t develop SMS Spy for iPhone.
On the other hand, the only reason that this SMS Replicator App made it into Android’s Market was that no such approval process is required to get listed in comparison with Apple’s App Store but now Google has pulled down this app for violating the Android’s content policy, unfortunately this App was only be able to be a part of Android Market for a very short period.
