This scam is quite catchy and can not be over looked by any user who always wishes if he could just dislike any posts , uploads by friends. So here it is, the crooked cyber criminals have laid down another scam bite that intend to offer a Facebook ‘dislike’ button and very tempt fully promote the scam by having the access to your profile.
This scam is been lying in the same category that already proved to be 100% eye popping, flash back – the links that were been shared by people some time ago like “the biggest and scariest snake”, the “world’s worst McDonald’s customer” etc. And as soon as user clicks on the link boom! You happily put yourself in fire of hackers!

You might also trapped by a status message like:
I just got the Dislike button, so now I can dislike all of your dumb posts lol!!
followed by a link. If you do come across such a stutus message, never click it.

The strategy is simple. First it offers you Facebook dislike button functionality by following a rouge link. When the link is followed it asks your permission, as soon as you accept the app being on your profile, it silently updates your status message to “I just got a dislike button. You can get it to, Just follow the link http://somelink/thedislikebutton” promoting and tricking the other friends and online contacts.

After granting access, an online survey is conducted that makes money for the scammers. Not to forget you still are not offered that most wanted dislike button. As soon as the survey is finished you are directed to Firefox browser add-on for a Facebook dislike button.
If that would have been happening then user can directly get that from Mozilla addons for free and without spending that much time. We will suggest not to follow or click any such links until it is been officially announced by the Facebook team!
