Personally I am fed of all these fake, scam oriented, malware related, Trojan contained and rogue-ware comprised scanners. Me and my team thinks that we will should have more focus on fake software than some other tech critics. Moreover, these fake scanners are the worst aspects of technology, scammers clearly makes worst use of technology to empty up the pockets of innocent web users.
Let me report another fake and rogue application named as Security Solution 2011, claiming to clean viruses from your computer but there is nothing like that. What it does is, it just show some viruses warnings, popups and alerts even when your machine is free of viruses. Then it asks you to buy the full version of the software to stop the alerts but this won’t help your cause.
Security Solution 2011 does enough to make you believe that your PC is actually infected with some severe Trojans. But remember! There is nothing like that, these warnings and alerts are just shown to scare you and to convince you to buy this fake rogue-ware. After getting downloaded and installed this fake software will also display some pornographic and images from Viagra websites.
It comes in your machine by a trigger of malicious JavaScript code which is embedded in fake virus scanners by the scammers. The moment you click that JavaScript coded advertisement or link, a fake scan is performed which then turns into a Trojan. After the scan you will those virus and Trojan warnings which are not actually present in your computer.
It’s very hard to get rid of this fake and rogue Security Solution 2011 because it disables your currently installed antivirus software plus it change the settings of your browser. Worst part of the rogue virus scanner is that it also displays a fake Security Center Alert which more looks like a genuine alert and in that alert you will see that your computer is infected with Win64.BIT.Looker.exe.
Security Solution 2011 then redirects you to some malicious webpage asking you to buy a full version of this fake Security Solution 2011. See the screenshot below!
Security Solution 2011 is not actually a virus but it can hinder almost all activities of your computer. Good thing about this software is that it is not capable of deleting or stealing any of you personal data. Last but not the least thing, don’t buy this software, please don’t! Now what is the solution to get rid of Security Solution 2011. You can easily uninstall it from your computer by installing any good antivirus (I would recommend Avira).
